Franchise Times: Food Waste Becomes Big Focus for 2023

Food waste in commercial kitchens is certainly a topic of concern and a subject we’ve discussed here before in The Green Ladle, most recently in this post about restaurant trends for 2023.

Today, Franchise Times looked at the issue, citing the statistic that restaurants waste between 22 and 33 billion pounds of food each year — food waste is a big focus for 2023 and we were happy to have participated in the article.

Our San Diego and Orange County franchisee, Ethan Cohen, illustrated how microfiltration with FiltaFry is not only good for the environment, but also is a beneficial marketing strategy and provides cost savings.
