Filta Identifies Portland, Oregon as Next Priority Market for Franchise Growth

Region is one of the few major US markets with territory still available

As restaurant guest counts and revenues soar,  Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions (Filta) continues to remain top of mind for commercial kitchens because of the strong leadership shown by our franchisees across all the communities in which we operate. Our leading service-based franchise has certainly experienced tremendous growth over the years – and now we have our sights set on Portland, Ore. as one of our next priority markets for franchise expansion.

As one of the most respected brands supporting the restaurant industry with widespread name recognition and a reputation for professionalism and forward-thinking operations, many Filta markets around the nation are fully sold out. Portland, however, is one of the few major U.S. metros that still has prime trade areas available.

“We’ve successfully operated Filta for a long time across the Pacific Northwest – so our brand already has a proven presence of success,” said Tom Dunn, Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions CEO. “But as Portland continues grow, Filta would like to grow with it, and we’ve identified several new territories in the market where we know new franchisees can make an impact.”

Communities across Portland are demanding ever-increasing food quality and that, paired with the region’s appetite for environmental sustainability, puts Filta squarely in the driver’s seat to capitalize on those needs. Through our network of thousands of commercial and restaurant kitchens, Filta has recycled nearly 1 billion pounds of used cooking oil into biodiesel fuel, significantly reducing the impact of fryer oil on the environment. And for every gallon of biodiesel put into use, Filta prevents 16 pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere.

The cornerstone of our company’s offering is FiltaFry, the complete fryer management service incorporating on-site micro-filtration as well as the removal, recycling, and replacement of cooking oil. Furthermore, we provide humidity control in cold storage devices through FiltaCool and proactively prevent drain blockages through our grease-consuming drain foam brand FiltaDrain. Customers range from single and chain restaurants to commercial kitchens inside casinos, hospitals, hotels, groceries, universities, business facilities, stadiums (NFL, NCAA, MLB, NHL), and more.

Based on these parameters and more, Filta is currently seeking qualified franchisees to help grow the brand in Portland. From our corporate support systems to our simplified business model, the entire Filta franchise system is designed to position local franchise owners for success. With a strong brand identity, excellent franchise relationships, and a passionate executive leadership team already in place, we also boast an affordable average initial investment of approximately $113,300 – $127,050 including a $39,950 territory fee.
